Health Systems Management

If you want to advance your career in health care but can't find time for classes during the week, this innovative weekend program fits your life.

This 36- to 45-credit (dependent on your professional experience and transfer credits) Master of Science program is offered Saturdays, enabling you to balance professional, family and school commitments and complete your degree in two years.

You'll:

  • learn both quantitative and qualitative approaches to health systems management
  • obtain balanced professional development in the core disciplines of management, including:
  • finance
  • epidemiology
  • qualitative methods
  • organizational behavior
  • ethics
  • law
  • and information systems
  • get acquainted with concepts and experiences from political, sociocultural, financial and administrative perspectives.

This program's curriculum addresses the various content areas recommended by the Association of University Programs in Health Administration.

Housed in the College of Public Affairs—which also has a nationally accredited Master of Public Administration program—this master's program offers the resources of faculty members who are leaders in their disciplines, including the former assistant secretary of management and budget for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.


Classes are offered Saturdays during the day in a 10-week session.
