Transferring Credits

Transferring Your Credits

UB will accept up to 60 lower-level (100- and 200- level) credits from a community college. We also will accept up to 70 lower-level credits from a four-year institution or a combination of community college and four-year institutional credit. In addition, we will accept up to an additional 20 - 30 upper-division credits (300- and 400- level), with the total amount of transfer credits not to exceed 90.

In some situations, UB will accept up to 66 credits from a community college. This opportunity is available through specific articulation agreements or partnership opportunities. You should consult an academic advisor at their community college or call the Office of Transfer Admission for additional information.

UB will accept transfer courses with a grade of "C" or better. Students attending a Maryland community college can transfer designated general education courses with a grade of "D."
