Applying for admission to UB is easy. And the sooner you apply, the better. Just submit the following items:
- an application for admission and an application fee
- an official high-school transcript
- official SAT or ACT scores (SAT code=5810; ACT code=1744)
- a completed FASFA form
- an essay/personal statement of 250-500 words describing one of the following: the major that interests you at UB and why, what about UB makes you believe it s the school for you, a significant experience and its impact on you, or another topic of your choice (A graded school paper may be substituted for the writing sample.)
- a resume, list of extracurricular activities and/or letters of recommendation (all optional).
Notification of admission takes place on a rolling basis, so please complete your application as soon as possible to ensure timely review.

- Supplemental International Applicant Information Sheet must be completed if you have or will apply for a nonimmigrant status in the United States:
- I-20 Request Form to be completed by all F1 applicants
- Non-Immigrant Verification Form for applicants on all other non-immigrant visas
- Dependent Form to be completed by all F/J applicants who will have a dependent spouse and/or child(ren) accompanying them in the US
