Financial Aid

The Facts on Financial Aid

Applying for Financial Aid

Submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. Further information on federal, state and institutional financial aid is available through the University of Baltimore Office of Financial Aid.

What Is the FAFSA Form?

The FAFSA is the first step in applying for student aid. It is the document that the federal government uses to determine how much of your tuition you are able to pay and how much money you are eligible to receive. UB also accepts the paper version of the FAFSA, available at most colleges and universities. Please include University of Baltimore school code 002102 on your application.

Check out UB's range of financial aid choices.

Deadlines

While you may complete the FAFSA annually anytime after Jan. 1, it is best to do so before the March 1 Maryland priority deadline to receive the highest possible financial aid award.

Scholarships

The University of Baltimore scholarship deadline is June 1 for the following fall semester. Merit-based scholarships are awarded based on your high school grade point average and your composite SAT scores. An admission counselor can assist you in determining what kind of scholarship assistance you might receive. Read more about scholarships.

Maryland State Scholarships

Students may also contact the Maryland Higher Education Commission at 410.260.4565 to inquire about scholarship opportunities for Maryland residents. Log on to the new Maryland College Aid Processing System to search for state scholarships, view your award status or update your state award information.
